H2 WORKFORCE

Hispanic Community Council’s H2WorkForce (Hispanic Helping Workforce & Opportunity) services are designed to prepare youth ages 16-24 for post-secondary education and/or employment along a career path. Our program works with young people to help them meet their individual needs in a supportive environment. All students get a dedicated case manager that works to meet their individual needs. 

The H2WIO Program offers:

 

Career Exploration  

  • Entrepreneurial skills training

  • Job-readiness training

  • Labor market and employment information

  • Occupational skills training

  • Paid and unpaid work experiences

  • Job placement

 

College Readiness

  • Financial aid, scholarship, and FAFSA workshops

  • College applications

  • College field trips/ educational field trips 

  • Alternative Secondary school services

  • Education offered for a specific occupation/occupational cluster

  • Tutoring

  • Financial literacy education

  • Preparation for, and transition to, post-secondary education and training

 

Leadership Development

  • Adult mentoring

  • Comprehensive guidance and counseling

  • Follow-up services

 

Support Services

  • Transportation assistance

  • Child care

  • Educational testing
